Based in Crete, PRTA is conceived as a focused architectural atelier. Directed by Markos Portalios—an architect-engineer educated in England with professional tenure across London, Athens, and Nicosia, and registered with the Technical Chamber of Greece (TEE)—the practice bridges property consulting, architectural design, interior design and construction management.

Architecture begins with the site. The Mediterranean is not approached as scenery, but as a rigorous set of conditions: hard light, dry summers, northern winds, and terrain that resists flat answers. The architecture that endures here mediates between shelter and openness. Thick walls, deep shade, courtyards that hold the morning light.

We privilege atmosphere over spectacle, and permanence over novelty. The objective is to construct silence rather than noise. Supported by a dedicated network of engineers, surveyors, and craftsmen, every commission is executed with one clear directive: to ensure the architectural intention survives the realities of construction intact.
